Located in the east behind of Airport Ngurah Rai around 15
Km from the Airport,and just 20 menit by car.
There's plenty of oppertunity for wandering around sanur,
along the beach or through the rice paddies. The rice farmers
of sanur are said to grow some of the finest rice in Bali.
The beach at Sanur is aleays full of interesting sights such
as the colourful prahus known as jukung ready to take yuo
for a quick trip out to the reff. Specially in the morning
is good is see for sunrice.
Sanur was one of the place in the Bali favorued by western
artists during their pre-war discovery of the island. It was
still a quiet fishing village at the time but few traces of
that Sanur of so years ago remain. The exeption is the former
home the Belgian artist Le Mayeur who lived here from 1932
to 1958. It must have been a delighful place then, a peaceful
and elegant home right by the beach. But now in Sanur you
find many new Hotels with private swimming pool and also
many new nice Villas.
